Welcome to MHIMA

The Michigan Health Information Management Association (MHIMA) is a component association of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and has approximately 2,500 members. AHIMA now represents over 103,000 health information professionals who are dedicated to the effective management of personal health information needed to deliver quality healthcare to the public. Founded in 1929 to improve the quality of medical records, MHIMA is committed to advancing the HIM profession in an increasingly electronic and global environment through leadership in advocacy, education, certification, and lifelong learning.
