SUMMARY:CAN Council Dinner for Kids' Sake
DESCRIPTION:Each April\, St. Clair County Child Abuse and Neglect Council facilitates “Dinner for Kids’ Sake”. Serving as a kick-off for “Child Abuse Prevention Month” this event features an outstanding dinner\, a diverse silent auction\, and a powerful guest speaker.  \nThe Council also utilizes this event to announce the “Child Advocate of the Year” and “Community Child Advocate of the Year” awards as well as to honor outstanding child advocates throughout St. Clair County. To make the event even more fun\, the planning committee also chooses a theme that encourages\, optional\, attire for those in attendance.  \n2019’s event was held at the Blue Water Convention Center and brought together more than 425 guests\, who along with event sponsors raised more than $26\,000 to support the Council’s mission.
